Application for Marriage
Q Can a third party e-file on our behalf?
A
Both of you must be present at point of filing a notice of intended marriage. Please note that both of you will be responsible for accuracy of information submitted.
   
Q Is Birth Certificate required for filing notice?
A No.
   
Q Is it compulsory to exchange rings during solemnisation?
A It is optional.
 
Q How do I go about changing/ postponing a solemnisation date?
A Click here for details. A fee is payable.
   
Q How do I go about canceling a marriage notice or solemnisation?
A Please advise ROM in writing.
   
Q Can I "cancel" a marriage following solemnisation?
A You will need to seek legal advice from you lawyer.
   
Q Can we leave Singapore after we have filed notice of marriage and then return for solemnisation?
A You will need to seek legal advice from you lawyer.
