Before you invite a Solemniser (LS)
Always go to 'list of Licensed Solemnisers' to check. If a name is not found, it means that the person is no longer licensed to solemnise your marriage.

To minmise disruptions to your wedding plans, do not invite a LS more than 4 months in advance of your solemnisation.

To secure a date and time of your choice for solemnisation
Choose to solemnise your marriage outside the ROM (at a hotel, club, restaurant, etc)

Appointment for Verification of Documents & Statutory Declaration
Please do not change the system-generated appointment unless there are valid grounds. If a change is necessary, please come on a Thursday between 2-4pm, one week before the solemnisation date. There is no need to call the ROM.
Peak Days and Hours
Peak Days: Day before and after a weekend and public holiday.
Peak Hours: 10 - 12N (waiting time may be 1 hour).
Self-Help Kiosks at ROM
Waiting time may be an hour. We encourage you to transact outside the ROM since the internet version is the same.

The web version of kiosks @ROM is the same as the Internet. Save making a trip to ROM and queuing in line.

Arrow  What to expect during eFiling:
a. Book a date/time for solemnisation.
b. Enter couples' details
(incl. name/Identity No. of 2 witnesses).
c. Make payment via Credit Card.
d. Print a copy of the Receipt and IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS, and follow up on what to do, what to bring, when to go ROM
(the allocated date will be 3-5 working days before the date of solemnisation) for verification of documents, Statutory Declaration, etc.
