Always go to 'list of Licensed Solemnizers' to check. If a name is not found, it means that the person is no longer licensed to solemnize your marriage.
To minmise disruptions to your wedding plans, do not invite a LS more than 4 months in advance of your solemnization.

The grant of a marriage licence to you is subject to legal time-frame. Therefore, please do not change the VD/SD appointment.
WOMEN'S CHARTER AMENDMENTS TO COME INTO EFFECT FROM 1 SEPTEMBER 2011
The following amendments to Women's Charter pertaining to marriage requirements will be effective on 1 Sept 2011.
- Couples are required to attend marriage preparation programmes before their marriage if either party is below the age of 18 years or if both are below the age of 21 years.
- Divorcees who remarry will be required to make a statutory declaration on whether they have existing maintenance orders and arrears.
